Thank You notes from Love Week

We recently received a few thank you notes from those we served through Love Week.  Go ValleyPoint!  This note came from the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.

Dear ValleyPoint,

On behalf of the more than 1,300 client families and our corps of volunteers at the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, I want to extend sincere appreciation for your church’s generosity to our operation.  It was terrific to welcome you to our pantry once again and to experience once more the enthusiasm of your church in reaching out to those in need.  Your recent gift of 2,400 pounds of food went right into use in packing our boxes.  We are also giving out the laundry detergent right away as this is so needed by our families.  Your thoughtfulness is kind and the generous hearts of your people should know what a difference their gifts made to our pantry.

We have a new class of “poor” – those who have never been unemployed.  Coupled with senior citizens, the physically and emotionally challenged, the men and women who do not have the requisite skills for today’s job market, the working poor, families with single heads of household, and a wide range of those whose need is caused by a plethora of reasons, the number of people who need help in our local areas is indeed staggering.

Sincerely,

Linda K. Freeman, Director

We also received this note from the Rachel Kohl Community Library.

Dear ValleyPoint,

Thank you very much for you volunteered help to clean the library.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.  We very much appreciate being recognized by your Church as a local organization worthy of your support.

Sincerely,

Rebecca Slinger, Manager of Marketing and External Affairs
