Love Day, Prayer Event, and Faith Catalyst #2!

It’s a busy Sunday at ValleyPoint this week!  I’m excited about all of the activity as they present great opportunities for us to connect, learn, and serve others!  What better way is there to start your week?  As we continue in our “Big Deal” series, I’ll be spending time in Genesis 26 this Sunday and talking about digging our own spiritual wells.  It’s a great story, and I can’t wait to share it with you.  In addition to that, here are two other important parts of our day…and a baptism reminder.

> Love Day…let’s fill the lobby!  We’ll be partnering with the Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington, Delaware for this collection.  We had the chance to serve this mission in October, and I love what they are doing.  Our group had the chance to clean out an area where donations will be stored to share with others during the Thanksgiving season (you can read more about our day there at my blog).  Their mission is to serve the homeless, addicted and impoverished through Christ-centered programs to meet their spiritual, social and physical needs. They have a primary goal to restore people to a right relationship with God, their families, and society.  We get the chance to help them accomplish their mission by collecting food items that they will give away so that families can enjoy a great Thanksgiving celebration! Love it!  As you think about your own preparations…think of others.  Here’s the list.

> Prayer Event…at the Bethel Road Campus.  You are invited to our first prayer event this Sunday, November 10th at our Bethel Road Campus where we will have the chance to join together in prayer for our future.  After each gathering on Sunday morning (9:15 or 11am), I invite you to make the short drive from the middle school to 209 Bethel Road and participate at five prayer stations.  The prayer event will run from 10am-1pm.  You can stop by at any point!  You can do this on your own, with your family, or with a group of friends.  I believe you’ll find this interactive experience that will take approximately 20 minutes, to be very memorable and impactful!  Our prayer team has creatively put together this prayer walk, and I don’t want you to miss it.  You can read more about the prayer event here.

> Next Sunday (November 17th), we will celebrate Baptism. I believe there may be many of you who are ready to go public with your faith in Christ, so please join us for a quick info meeting between our gatherings at 10:30am this Sunday in the auditorium. You can simply register here.

It’s going to be a memorable day.  See you on Sunday!

Eric
