Car Fest, Dad Fest, Food Fest…this Sunday at ValleyPoint!

This Sunday is one of my favorite events at ValleyPoint Church! I hope you can be there to experience what will be a memorable day. We wrap-up “The Upside” series this Sunday with a look at one verse that is packed with powerful and practical insights. Read this verse before Sunday and get ready for a day that will encourage. I’m really excited to have my dad, Frank Koehler, join me this week. I’ll be interviewing him about some of his experiences as a father and grandfather. Ben Jones, our communications pastor, will also interview his father, Jerry. It’s going to be a day focused on dads with application for all!

 In addition to that…

It’s time for another ValleyPoint car show. The cars last year were…amazing! There will be hot dogs, snacks, plus music, popular voting, and door prizes. The car show will take place at the Garnet Valley Middle School front parking lot. Our gathering times are the same – 9:15 and 11am. The car show will run from 9:30 – 1pm.

A few other reminders:

+ Children’s ministry:  This Sunday June 15th, all of our kids environments will be moving locations within the middle school to accommodate the summer maintenance of the school. We will transform the cafeteria and the classrooms down that same hallway into our KidPoint environments for the summer.  All ages (birth-5th grade) will continue to meet throughout the summer months during both Sunday morning gatherings.

Starting June 15th – August 31st,your kids will experience our all new summer series called, Rated Arrgh. Kids will set sail to seek the greatest treasure of all time – a friendship with Jesus. KidPoint kids will join a Captain’s crew along with four salty pirates in a treasure island adventure that’s Rated Arrgh! Kids will experience a high-energy worship time with zany games, crafts, teaching, drama, humor, multi-media, and yummy treats!

+ Student Ministry (6th-12th grade students):  no meeting this Sunday (help your dads celebrate!). Rising 6th graders step-up on Sunday, June 22nd with special guest Brian Tingle. Brian is a teacher at the Garnet Valley Middle School. His love for students in contagious! Come out for a great night at the Bethel Road Campus as we welcome the largest incoming class of 6th graders in the history of ValleyPoint! This gathering for rising 6th graders and all other middle and high school students starts at 6:30pm.

This is absolutely one of the best days to invite someone to join you at ValleyPoint! Take a risk and extend that invite. See you on Sunday!
