Sunday Announcements From Sunday, October 12th

Love Day – This Saturday, October 18th!
Love Days are our church-wide initiatives where we simply serve our surrounding communities. These Love Days are exciting events where we get a chance to make a difference right where we live. Through partnering with organizations, schools, and ministries, we have the opportunities to meet practical needs while serving others without expecting anything in return. Here is the schedule for Saturday…just show up!

8:30am – Everyone meets at the Bethel Road Campus. (209 Bethel Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342)

8:30-8:50am – Sign-ups and light refreshments.

8:50am – Prayer.

9:00am – Teams will disperse to GO. SERVE. LOVE.

Our Next Child Dedication – Sunday, October 26th
This will be a very special and meaningful day for you and your family. If you would like to participate in this celebration, parents must attend the Child Dedication Class offered this Sunday at 10:15am, at the middle school. This class sets the course for how the church can partner with you in your child’s spiritual development. Our child dedications are a beautiful ceremony of a spiritual commitment between parents and God on behalf of the child. Questions can be directed to Dan McInnes at dan@valleypointchurch.com.

Guest Speaker – Bethany Cook
On Sunday, October 19th, we will welcome back to ValleyPoint Bethany Cook as our guest speaker. Bethany and her husband Steve, live in suburban Chicago, where Bethany works at Awana International, a Christian organization dedicated to helping kids and students come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. When she isn’t working, Bethany loves spending time with the high school students she mentors, along with friends and family. She attended Moody Bible Institute where she studied Bible and Communications, and Liberty Theological Seminary where she received a Masters in Leadership. One of Bethany’s greatest joys is to dig deep into Scripture to discover the details that take a familiar story from black and white to high definition. She will continue our current series, “Not You Average Joe” with a focus on Genesis 37 and Joseph’s dysfunctional family.

Men of I.C.E. (Integrity, Character, Excellence)
Join the men of ValleyPoint as we meet together to study the Bible in order to learn how to navigate the struggles we face as men. We eat a hot breakfast, then spend time sharing the struggles and successes of life. Our next meeting is on Saturday, October 25th. Breakfast starts at 7:30am at the Bethel Road Campus. Invite a friend and we will see you there.

“Real Women” (Women’s Life Group)

A Special Melmark Players Event
Melmark’s mission is to serve children, adults and their families affected by a broad range of developmental disabilities. The “Melmark Players” theatre group is composed of over 40 adults from Melmark’s Adult Day Program who enjoy acting and musical theatre. As a way of thanking ValleyPoint for the love it has shown Melmark, they have offered to put on a special “sneak peek” of their upcoming performance of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Please come out on Wednesday, November 5th at the Bethel Road Campus at 7:30pm for this free event to cheer on the Melmark Players. There will also be a free dessert reception held after the Players performance.
