Life Verse 2015 continues this Sunday!

“Life Verse 2015” has begun. I had a great time this past Sunday starting the new year with the challenge for all of us to find a verse or two that will help encourage, sustain, and revitalize. God’s Word can do that for us!

Keep searching for that verse. If you need help, some tools will be provided for you this Sunday. I have a few more questions to answer about the Bible this week, and then I have something to share with you that will help make time in God’s Word more than just a “good idea.” How can we sustain reading Scripture for more than just a week or two? It can happen, and I have a plan to share with you.

Want some good news?! Here is it comes…our Christmas Offering Initiative concluded on Sunday, January 4th with a final count of $59,543. That exceeded our goal by $29,543! Only God! Thank you for your incredible generosity that will have great significance with our partners for this year!  Again…thank you.

Just For You…

+ OnPoint Students (6-12th grade): Every Sunday morning from 10:25-10:55 in the middle school cafeteria, students are invited to hang out with friends and enjoy “donuts and apples.” Willie Roldan, our student ministry director, hosts this weekly Sunday morning event along with other adults who serve our students. OnPoint will host a service project this Sunday at Melmark. TIME CHANGE… we will meet at 2pm at the Bethel Road Campus. A few more details:

  • Pick up time: 5:30pm at the Bethel Road Campus
  • Dinner: YES!

+ January “Love Day” – Sunday, January 18, 2015: This is a “collection day.” It’s simple! Just bring items with you (the list will be provided for you this Sunday in the program), leave them in the lobby, and ValleyPoint will make the delivery. From soccer balls, to gently used summer clothing, to new shoes – this will be our chance to practically share God’s love.

+ ValleyPoint Membership Class – Monday, January 26th: This informative event will give you a great picture of the history of ValleyPoint. It will share what makes us unique and how we intend to serve the communities around us. It will also share opportunities for you to connect with our mission of pointing people to real relationships that inspire real significance. You can register here.

+ “Deeper Roots” Seminars: Join us for one our “Deeper Roots” seminars – Wednesday and/or Thursday nights from 7-8:30pm at the Bethel Road Campus. Light refreshments and childcare will be provided. Sign-up on the Connection Card this Sunday.
