Check This Out

Love Day, Father’s Day Car Show, and the conclusion of “Off the Fence” this Sunday at ValleyPoint!

Go. Serve. Love. Let’s get creative this Saturday, June 20th and surprise someone with a random act of kindness! Nothing is too small. Every loving act will make a difference. Mark the date, take a bold step, and enjoy serving others! Need ideas? Check out this list.

Father’s Day has arrived, and we plan to celebrate in grand style this Sunday! Invite someone to join you for one of our gatherings at 9:15 or 11am and then experience the Father’s Day Car Show in the front parking lot at the Garnet Valley Middle School. There will be hot dogs, snacks, plus music, popular voting, and door prizes. You don’t want to miss out on seeing some incredible cars. The weather looks like it could be a challenge, but we’re hopeful!

“Off the Fence” concludes this Sunday with a challenge to get off the fence of “can’t follow.” Our BIG IDEA this week will come from Deuteronomy 34:1-12. These verses will show how a deep desire to follow God can make a lasting impression.

Just For You…

+ “Simplify” – Summer Series begins Sunday, June 28th: Overscheduled. Exhausted. Overwhelmed. Sound familiar? We often live and work at a speed that is unsustainable. Once we are caught in the trap of busyness, it can be hard to find our way out and slow the pace. Our lives won’t simplify themselves. We must act. Join ValleyPoint Church for our summer series beginning on June 28th called Simplify. Don’t forget to pick up a summer booklet this Sunday that has all of our events occurring over the summer months. This will be a summer to remember!

+ Elder confirmation – Sunday, June 28th: The elder team has been meeting with and interviewing Keith Stitely and is recommending that Keith be validated by the membership of ValleyPoint Church to serve officially as an elder. Keith and his wife Debbie have been attending ValleyPoint for the past nine years. They have two young children. Keith serves on the production team on Sunday mornings. He also leads one of ValleyPoint’s Life Groups. His wife Debbie is actively involved in the children’s ministry. We will have a membership confirmation for Keith on Sunday, June 28th. This meeting will take place at 10:30am in the auditorium (between our two gathering times). All ValleyPoint members are encouraged to participate.

Enjoy your weekend ValleyPoint! See you on Sunday for the conclusion of “Off the Fence!”

P.S. I want to encourage you to think creatively and have fun serving someone else this Saturday for our Love Day! Let’s be the church…right where we live.
