Check This Out

Friend Day is getting close!

We have a special “Friend Day” coming on Sunday, October 11th. On this day, our goal is to welcome 100 friends to ValleyPoint. Join me in thinking of a friend (or two…or more) you can invite to this special day. Here is a note I received from someone who brought a friend last year.

Wanted to send you a quick note to say what a great day Friend Day turned out to be. I had been asking this particular friend to come to church with me for a while. Each time we would talk I would encourage her to come with me to church. There was always a reason not to come. I have been there too so I understood. I have to say, when we walked into church, she was amazed at how friendly everyone was.  She said, “this isn’t church!  Everyone is so nice.”  I had to laugh. As we walked out, I asked her how she liked it. She said she loved it. By the time we made it to the parking lot, she turned to me and said she was going to go home and do something she hadn’t done in a long time. She was going to open her Bible. I am grateful that ValleyPoint had this friend day yesterday.  It was a good excuse to have someone come along.

Inviting works. Take a bold step and invite someone to join you for our Friend Day!

The Story continues this Sunday, and we will discover that God works things out for good, and He knows what’s best for me. The dramatic story of Joseph will set the background for our time together.
