Check This Out

We’ve got a great Sunday planned at ValleyPoint!

I am looking forward to sharing the story of Moses and Zipporah this Sunday! The Story takes us into the book of Exodus where we find sensational events orchestrated by God. These events were designed by God so that everyone would know his strength. Before these events, something occurs that prepares Moses for his leadership role. Zipporah (Moses’ wife) takes a bold step and “saves the day.” She is a wise person, and we’ll be talking about her dramatic actions this Sunday. If you are following along in The Story book, we will cover chapter four (Deliverance) this Sunday. You can also read Exodus chapter one to get a picture of what is coming.

“Friend Day” is close. This day is designed so that you can enjoy ValleyPoint with a friend! We will have special free gifts for all guests, free treats, and free coffee! Our goal is to welcome 100 friends. Invite a friend, family member, co-worker, or anyone you know. It’s going to be a great day.

Just For You…

+ Real Women: All women are welcome to come and connect this Saturday, October 3rd at the Bethel Road campus from 9-11am. “Strength in Lonely Places” will help you find hope that you are not alone in your journey. Women make life-changing, courageous choices, and God knows and sees each one. Enjoy breakfast and hearing from the biblical story of Zipporah from Tonia Koehler. Bring a friend who needs to know God will give us strength to make wise choices. Childcare is provided.

+ OnPoint (6-12th grade students): “Donuts and apples” are served on Sundays at the middle school from 10:30-10:55am for all students. OnPoint meets this Sunday at the Bethel Road campus at 4:30pm. Bring a friend!

+ Love Day – Sunday, October 18th: This is a “collection Sunday” where we gather items to give to organizations serving others. On this day, we will collect for Safe Harbor in West Chester. Safe Harbor’s mission is to provide shelter, food, and access to support services in a structured environment for homeless men and women in Chester County. Safe Harbor has an immediate need for NEW towels, washcloths, and toiletries (deodorant, razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste) for their facility. Bring any of these items with you on Sunday, October 18th, and ValleyPoint will take care of the rest. This is our chance to make a difference close to home!

+ Membership Class – Wednesday, October 21st: Join us at the Bethel Road Campus to discover more about the heartbeat of ValleyPoint Church. You will get a “behind the scenes” look at the what, how, and why of ValleyPoint. This class provides an opportunity to ask questions as well as meet other great people! Register here.

See you on Sunday!

Eric

P.S. Who are you inviting to Friend Day? Join me in making this day memorable. I read recently that “most people come to church because of a personal invitation (The Unchurched Next Door, Dr. Thom Rainer).” I have extended eight invitations so far and have received two positive responses! I can’t wait to see my friends at ValleyPoint. Take advantage of this special day and invite someone to fill the chair next to you.
