We’re unwrapping the perfect gift this Sunday at ValleyPoint!

How would you answer that question? This past Sunday we shared that the perfect gift is intentional (you can listen to that talk here). We’ll continue thinking about gifts and how a perfect gift is…you’ll have to come on Sunday to hear the rest! You can get an idea by reading Matthew 2:10 and Luke 2:10. There is a key word in both verses that provides the answer. I can’t wait to share with you. Take a risk and ask someone to join you this Sunday!

ValleyPoint’s Christmas Initiative has launched. We’re focusing on one need this year represented by four different organizations. The one “big need” is children who often find themselves in very difficult situations – poor, hungry, orphaned and without resources to help them succeed in life. I believe ValleyPoint has an amazing opportunity to bring goodness and God’s love into their lives. Our goal is to raise $60,000 between now and January 10th. All funds will go to the following:

+ Food, clothing, and medicine for orphanages in Russia and the Ukraine.

+ A new playground (that we will build in February 2016) at an orphanage in Guatemala.

+ A new play and garden area at the Unity Center in Chester, Pennsylvania.

+ Supplies for newborn babies in need at local hospitals through God’s Angel Babies – an organization based in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and started by a ValleyPoint attender.

You can watch our video presentation describing the initiative here! Begin to pray now about your part in helping ValleyPoint reach its goal of sharing God’s love with children in need.

Just For You…

+ Men of Ice: Next meeting – Saturday, December 12th at 7:30am. All men are invited, and breakfast will be served. Men of Ice meets at the Bethel Road Campus.

+ December Love Day: If you picked up a grocery bag this past week for The Sunday Breakfast Mission in Wilmington, DE, you can bring those bags back to ValleyPoint this Sunday, December 13th or December 20th. Thank you for generously providing tasty food items for families in need. The Sunday Breakfast Mission serves the homeless, addicted, and impoverished through Christ-centered programs. You can read more about our Love Day and items needed here.

+ OnPoint Christmas Party: OnPoint (6th-12th grade students) celebrates this Sunday at 4:30pm at the Bethel Road Campus. Games, good food, and gifts. Bring a friend (or two)!

+ Christmas Eve at ValleyPoint: You have your pick of three gatherings – Wednesday, December 23rd at 7pm; Thursday, December 24th at 4 & 6pm. Don’t miss these special nights.

Let’s unwrap the perfect gift this Sunday. See you soon!
