Start the new month off in the right direction – at ValleyPoint Church!

How did “the church” begin? What was its purpose? What are the significant events that surrounded its beginning? The launch of the first church was an exciting time in history. That first church in Jerusalem grounded its people in the Word, in deep community, in sharing Christ, and to prayer. The task at hand was too big for them to accomplish on their own. They needed each other. Mostly they needed God. That hasn’t changed, has it? We still have the same commission to be witnesses for Jesus. We are still called to the Word, to love each other, to share life, and to prayer. And we are still searching for those who have lost their way. Join ValleyPoint Church this Sunday as we investigate a new beginning…the church!

If you are following along in the book, we cover chapter twenty-eight this week. We are nearing the end of our time in The Story. Let’s finish strong!

Just For You…

+ Mother Daughter Brunch – May 7th: This event is for all moms and daughters who are old enough to enjoy sitting for the event. Please invite a mom, friend, mentor, sister, or daughter to join you at the Bethel Road Campus. The cost is $15. You can register here. Space is limited so register soon. The brunch will be from 9-11am. Kristi McInnes, Jean White, and Jean Duerr will share experiences of motherhood in their current stages. They will make you laugh and encourage your heart! Childcare is not provided for this event.

+ Child Dedication – Mother’s Day, May 8th: On Mother’s Day, we will host a special day for moms. As part of that day, we will have our next child dedication. As a prerequisite to the dedication, parents must attend a child dedication class offered this Sunday, May 1st at 10:30am. This class sets the course for how ValleyPoint can partner with you in your child’s spiritual development. If you have a child you would like to dedicate, email Dan McInnes at dan@valleypointchurch.com.

Let’s keep chasing real relationships and real significance!
