What does Scripture say about mental illness? We’re talking about it this Sunday at ValleyPoint.

We will dive into an interesting subject this Sunday. What does Scripture say about mental illness? How should we respond to those who struggle? Interestingly, Scripture does not avoid talking about mental health. It’s a big subject. It’s a sensitive subject. It’s also a matter which is often avoided. The church should not be silent because it can offer hope. Our summer series, “Unanswered” continues this Sunday by looking into this important issue.

And…IT’S CHURCH PICNIC SUNDAY! Please join us at the Concord Township Park located at 725 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills, PA from 4-6pm. We will have food, games, and of course, a lot of fun! Hot dogs and water will be provided. Feel free to bring a blanket and lawn chairs. See the guide below for what to bring based on your last name.

Just For You (great things to do this summer!)…

+ Staying Sweet…a Night of Chocolate (Saturday, August 7th): During this hot summer a cool shower (or a swim) feels so refreshing, but do you need a little refresher for your heart and mind? All women are invited to come and be encouraged as we hear an interview with Sandi Dill who will share her story of adoption with us. Did you know we each have an adoption story that can be life altering? Tonia Koehler will be sharing from Ephesians chapter one. Bring a friend and a little chocolate to share on Saturday, August 6th at 7pm at the Bethel Road Campus.  We will leave refreshed and with a sweeter outlook on life. Childcare will be provided.

+ Church picnic – food guide:

  • A-G: Chips and dip
  • H-L: Juice, tea or other beverage
  • M-S: Side item or pasta salad
  • T-Z: Dessert item

See you on Sunday. You are loved ValleyPoint

P.S. Experts say the P.S. line is the most read part of any note. I hope that’s the case because I have a Real Home update to share with you this Sunday! I hope you’ll be there.
