CHECK OUT A NEW OPPORTUNITY UNDER “GO”

POINTING PEOPLE TO REAL RELATIONSHIP AND REAL SIGNIFICANCE is “WHAT” we do as a faith community.

Many things are canceled right now. Out of an abundance of caution, it has been wise to not gather. Here is an interesting thought as we walk through this season of living the story of Jesus under unprecedented circumstances. Many things are not canceled.

  • Prayer isn’t canceled!
  • Kindness isn’t canceled!
  • Love isn’t canceled!

Living the story of Jesus through prayer, kindness, and love isn’t canceled!

Here is ValleyPoint’s plan for being a bright light in the coming days. THINK OF OUR PLAN AS THREE BUCKETS. Each bucket is needed. Each bucket helps us point others to real relationships and real significance. Each bucket also fits ValleyPoint’s “HOW.” How do we accomplish our mission? WORSHIP. CONNECT. GO.

SERVING LOVE DAY

We thank you for your generosity!

COVID-19 (NO-CONTACT) COLLECTION:

ValleyPoint Church is partnering with Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission. Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission was established with a simple goal in mind: to serve breakfast every Sunday to Wilmington’s poor and homeless while sharing with them the love of Jesus Christ. Their resources are low and need support!

If you would like to participate, please drop off the following items to ValleyPoint Church on Saturday, June 13th, between 10 am and 12pm.

For everyone’s health and safety, we are only accepting drop-offs during these specific hours.

This will be a no-contact drop-off.  Here will be the process as you plan to arrive at our Main Campus
(209 Bethel Rd. Glen Mills, PA 19342):

  • Please have all food items in your trunk or hatchback.
  • Pull up to the box truck in the parking lot and open your trunk.
  • Volunteers wearing masks and gloves will take the items out of your trunk; they will shut it, and then put your donation food in the truck for you.
  • You then drive away knowing that you have served others that need it most, while doing so safely.

Here are the specific items to bring:

Non-perishable items needed:

Oatmeal
Pasta

CONNECT

(KINDNESS)

Followers of Jesus are consistently told to love our neighbors. Here are ways to be the light of the world as you genuinely care for others.

The Sick & Vulnerable

If you know someone who is sick or especially vulnerable to COVID-19:

  • Check-in daily. Sometimes just knowing someone cares and is praying helps.
  • Ask them, “how can I help?” Chances are they are scared to go shopping for food or other life essentials.
If you are a younger adult who is healthy, you could help them with these errands.
  • Ask them, “how can I pray for you?” Then actually pray.
  • Invite them to join our online gatherings on Facebook or valleypointchurch.com.

Healthcare Professionals, Medical Workers, First Responders

  • Offer to watch their children.
  • Buy coffee-gift cards!
  • Take their families something tasty to enjoy.

The People in Your Influence

  • Bosses, Managers, Team Leaders, Executives, Business Owners

Ask they how they are doing and offer to pray with and for them. Many organizational leaders are faced with extremely difficult decisions and do not always receive encouragement or positive reinforcement during strenuous seasons.

  • Parents

Take this opportunity to teach your kids about Jesus’ compassion. Take full advantage of what is offered through KidPoint.

  • Coaches

Many coaches are delivering devastating news to players. Comfort them. Encourage them. Help them see how their players are looking to them for direction.

  • Teachers

In the midst of changing schedules with the impact of COVID-19, let teachers know that you are praying for them. Check-in with them regularly, and send them a gift card.

  • Neighbors, Families, Friends

Take advantage of social media and invite your neighbors, families, and friends to watch ValleyPoint online. Maybe they are not ready to come to a gathering. Perhaps they will watch! And…who knows?!
Your “online invitation” could make a difference. Also, invite them to help with the Love Day collection for UrbanPromise since love isn’t canceled.

Let’s be ready, willing, and intentional about loving our neighbors because connecting by serving others isn’t canceled.
